Fellow of AANA Program

The Fellow of AANA Program (FAANA) is an opportunity for AANA Active, Associate and International members to add another prestigious credential to their signatures and be a part of an elite group of leaders in arthroscopy. Communicate to your peers and patients that you are a FAANA and have set yourself apart through involvement, education and advancement.

Eligibility Criteria

Five years of continuous AANA Active, International or Associate membership as of the FAANA application submission date.*
Unrestricted medical license(s).
Application fee $425 (non-refundable).
Must meet six total qualifications, with at least one from both categories listed below; all within the past five years of the FAANA application submission date.

Qualifications

PROFESSIONAL/LEADERSHIP

Leadership position or participation in an AANA Committee(s) or AANA Board of Directors.
Local or community activities/local or community leadership position.
Hospital or practice leadership position.
Physician sports team (Pro, Olympic, Collegiate, High School) coverage.
Leadership position with another medical society.
AANA Education Foundation Donor.
Surgeon Advisory Board Position for an Industry Company
Military or government leadership position.
Demonstrated medical volunteerism.

EDUCATION/SCHOLARLY ACTIVITIES

Active involvement in teaching, ongoing research or mentoring activities.
Active involvement with Clinical Trial research studies.
Specialty Medical Licensure/Board Certification outside of Orthopaedics.
Active involvement in orthopaedic/arthroscopy-related Study Groups.
Arthroscopic research published outside of AANA.
Publication in AANA’s peer-reviewed journal, Arthroscopy, Arthroscopy Techniques or Arthroscopy, Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Participation in AANA’s Arthroscopy Podcast.
Contribution to print, live or digital education program development.
Faculty position for AANA or other education programs or meetings.
Held a position with AANA’s peer-reviewed journal, Arthroscopy.
Participation or attendance at three AANA live education events.
Claimed credits for three AANA CME-bearing products.

Renewal

Renewal fees are $100 every year.

If you reside in a country listed in the Low Income Economy section on the World Bank Country and Lending Groups, you may be eligible for the AANA Education Foundation to cover a portion ($325) of your application fee.
