Day 4: ABC Medical Center/Mayo Clinic

2023 AANA Traveling Fellows Theodore Shybut, M.D., FAANA, Catherine Hui, M.D. and Peter Vezeridis, M.D. relish a run through Parque La Mexicana as they said goodbye to Mexico City on another beautiful morning. The combination of gentle hills and altitude had them winded but smiling.
The 2023 AANA Traveling Fellows made it to the airport, grateful for their time in Mexico City. They cannot say enough about the program their hosts from Ortomove/ABC Medical Center put together. Unfortunately, a delay ahead of the 2023 AANA Traveling Fellows’ flight pushed their travel back. They were constantly checking for updates as shown here.
The travel delay resulted in a diversion to Texas, so 2023 AANA Traveling Fellow Theodore Shybut, M.D., FAANA joked that he had arranged for an additional stop on the trip to his home state of 14 years. After passing through passport control customs, collecting and re-dropping their luggage and going back through security, the 2023 AANA Traveling Fellows refreshed with a quick meal before the second leg of their journey to Arizona. The 2023 AANA Traveling Fellows made it to Phoenix where previous AANA Traveling Fellow Kostas Economopoulos, M.D. greeted them and demonstrated his 3D spatial skills getting all of them and their luggage into his car.
